Special Gas Projects
Crude oil carrier gas

Crude oil carrier gas is
treated so that it can be used in a combustion engine to generate
electrical energy. Given the normally demanding environmental
conditions of such locations, these plants tend to be delivered in a
container as complete systems. The key components of the equipment
are the quick-acting stop valves, gas warning systems, air-cooled
liquid chillers and gas heat exchanger for cooling and heating.
Cooling of the gas to separate out long-chain hydrocarbons takes
place at temperatures down to – 25 °C.

Mine gas

Vegetable oil

Vegetable oil has the advantage of not containing sulphur or corrosive substances which might destroy the heat exchanger. The disadvantage here is the high level of soot produced during combustion. Heavy soiling must therefore be expected for heat exchangers. APROVIS offers various in-situ cleaning systems to continuously ensure maximum heat output in operation. Compressed air cleaning and water injection systems are especially in demand. A long-term additional yield of up to 40% is possible with these systems.
