The exhaust gas heat exchanger recovers the heat of a 1MWel-engine, to heat up a water flow of about 70 m³/h. The fuel is natural gas.
There are special design requirements to fulfil which are caused by the vertical installation of the exhaust gas heat exchanger.
Furthermore the place of installation is challenging: The exhaust gas heat exchanger is installed in a height of 100m on top of a building at a main road in centre of Madrid.
