Steam Generator in Austria
Output: 350 kW / Quantity of steam: 540 kg/h
This steam generator is operated at a waste water treatment plant in Austria. The exhaust gas heating the steam generator is provided by two MAN engines (2842 LE). The steam produced is used to support a process underway for the purpose of purification.
The steam generator supplied was equipped with an exhaust gas bypass. This allows the engines to continue producing electricity even when no steam is extracted. There is also the advantage that with any impermissible rise in pressure, it is not necessary for the engine to be switched off by the mandatory safety chain.

One special feature of this project was the additional supply of a high-speed steam generator. This ensures that the required quantity of steam of 1,000 kg/h is always available.
As the water quality necessary for operation of the steam generator could not be supplied by the client, the water treatment system needed here was provided by APROVIS. This water treatment system consists of the following individual components:
-
Fine filter
- Sodium ion exchanger
- Reverse osmosis
- Condensate collection tank
- Degasser
